Very First Post

To Begin-

I am a freshman studying Exceptional Student Education from Orlando, Florida. I grew up in a semi small town and graduated from a very small Christian high school. I spent most of my time in high school dedicated to the semi professional theatre at my arts school, and even in college I still find time to sing. I started working in the special needs community through volunteer opportunities, and then as a respite care provider. I hope to continue loving on some truly exceptional people, and encouraging families throughout my career.


I do not have much experience with technology in an educational setting. When I taught Sunday School at my local church, we used DVD players and TVs. Most of the time as a child I was the student trying to help the teacher pull up the power point. That is really as far as my education technology experience goes, besides just generally knowing how to work and play on a Mac computer.

What do I hope to learn in this class? I hope to learn how technology can help my classroom, especially an exceptional classroom. I hope to use this technology proficiently so I don't waste time in my classroom. I want to do this because I desire to create a productive classroom that is not held back or distracted by technology, but further advanced, developed, and made better by technology.
